Many hosting companies state 99.9% uptime, but you end up with lots of server outages and lots of website downtime.  Is this the case with CheapWebPro?

We could have followed the traditional model of using a dedicated server that is susceptible to harddrive failures, long network outages, and numerous reboots in order to cut costs, but we have chosen to use a premium next generation hosting solution, a cloud host. 

What is Cloud Hosting?

A Cloud Host is a pooled set of resources that can be dynamically controlled based on our current requirements.  In the event of any network/hardware failure, new network/server resources can quickly be requisitioned on demand (unlike a dedicated server that requires physical intervention in the event of a router/hardrive/power faiilure, resulting in very long and frequent unplanned downtime for your website).

Many web design companies charge thousands of dollars to design a website, but once the design is done you end up paying high hourly fees to make any updates. Do you charge any fees for design changes/updates?

Unlike most web design firms, we do not charge our costumers any fees for design updates/changes.

Why do you setup gmail accounts rather than use your host?

Hosting email is a very resource intensive activity, and would create a serious liability for our business should any of our clients send spam or illegal attachments.  Gmail is one of the most stable and spam-free email services available, and we can configure gmail to send and recieve email as your domain (ie. johndoe@yourdomain).

I already have an email service, will you work with my current provider to direct mail exchange traffic to their host?

Yes, we will update the MX record on our host to direct email to your email host or bulk forward your email to a standard email account.  To learn more about setting up an email host for your domain please go to Rackspace Email Hosting. 

Do you offer an ecommerce package to let me sell products online?

We currently do not offer this service, but if you have a Paypal or Google Checkout account, you can generate "Buy Now" code and send it to us to integrate into your website, if you have a few items/services that you would like to sell on your page.
